One Direction’s Louis has reportedly banned gay fan fiction nickname from his Instagram

However, fans have already found a way to defy the ban

One Direction star Louis Tomlinson has reportedly banned the term “Larry” from his Instagram.

“Larry” is a portmanteau of “Louis” and “Harry” – meaning his 1D bandmate Harry Styles – coined by fans who like to “ship” the pair into a fictional romantic relationship.

According to E! News, Tomlinson has blocked the word from his comments section using Instagram’s new anti-troll feature. From now on, the word “Larry” should only be seen under Tomlinson’s pictures by the person who wrote it.

However, a quick scroll through one of Tomlinson’s recent Instagram posts reveals that cunning One Direction fans have already cottoned on, and are now defying the ban by writing the fan fiction nickname as “L4RRY”, “l a r r y” and “L├órry”, for example, so that everyone can see it.

Still waking up …

Tomlinson and his One Direction bandmate Niall Horan recently revealed that have been forced to change their mobile numbers after receiving “disgusting” messages from fans. “Time to change my number .. Getting some disgusting stuff on what’s app… Losers !” Tomlinson wrote on Twitter on August 16.

Meanwhile, Simon Cowell has discussed his lack of involvement in the One Direction members’ solo careers, saying he is “not bitter – much” that they are now working on projects without him.
