Ooberman have announced the second clue in the treasure hunt to find their recently won NME Premier Award, which has been hidden in a secret location somewhere in the British Isles. The second clue is: “More dykes per square mile…”
The band decided to bury the award for a fan to find as a way of saying thank you to everyone on nme.com who voted for their performance at last month’s NME Premier Shows at London WC1 Astoria as the best in our week-long series of shows.
The first clue was revealed here last week and was: “The moon is rising over the sea which can only happen on one British coastline. Work out which and you’re on the way”.
After all the clues have been announced, fans will be directed to the Ooberman website [url=]www.ooberman.com where the winning contestants will be given a final clue to the location and the prize. The winners will travel to a mystery location on April 1 where the treasure will be found.
A further clue will be posted here on nme.com on March 8.
Ooberman commence a UK tour tonight (March 1) at London Soho Madame Jo Jo’s, before playing Glasgow King Tuts (24), Sheffield Leadmill (25), Bristol Fleece and Firkin (26), Leicester Princess Charlotte (28), Leeds Cockpit (30), Hull University (31), Manchester University (April 1), Liverpool Lomax (2) and London WC2 King’s College (4).
