Although still unconfirmed, The Orb look set to announce a six-date UK tour shortly...

THE ORB are set to play their first UK live dates in nearly four years at the end of March, NME.COM can reveal.

Although a spokesperson for The Orb could not confirm the tour, the ticket retail website www.gigsandtours.com have announced that tickets for the following dates will be made available shortly.

The shows are at: Brighton Concorde II (March 28)

Leeds Metropolitan University (29)

Wolverhampton Wulfrun Hall (30)

Manchester University (31)

Bristol University (April 2)

London Astoria (3)

Talking to NME.COM at the beginning of the year, Paterson explained that he was looking forward to playing smaller venues again.

“I want to take it back to the colleges,” he said. “I want to do a university tour this year, I don’t want to be playing the big places like Brixton Academy, the Academy in Manchester and The Royal Court in Liverpool. I want to do the university tour again. It’ll be interesting to see what happens, to see what kind of student will come along.”

The Orb release their new album, ‘Cydonia’, on February 19 through Universal Island.
