OutKast confirmed for Roskilde Festival

Chance The Rapper is also added to the bill for the Danish bash

Reunited hip-hop duo Outkast are to perform at Denmark’s Roskilde Festival, which takes place from June 29 to July 6, 2014.

The latest additions to the line-up also include Chance The Rapper, with the full list of artists set to be revealed on April 2.

On booking OutKast, the festival’s programme director says: “Since the rumours of OutKast’s reunion started to circulate last year, we’ve almost been overrun with fan requests demanding that OutKast must play Roskilde Festival 2014. So we’re extremely proud that we have managed to get them to Roskilde.”

Acts already confirmed for the festival include Arctic Monkeys, Damon Albarn, Earl Sweatshirt, Haim, Kasabian, Major Lazer, Moderat, OutKast, Pusha T, Rob Zombie, Trentemøller and MØ.

Outkast member Big Boi recently ruled out the chance of new music from the duo, telling Revolt TV that they are sticking with live shows only for the time being. “We’re just doing the tour only, just for the fans. That’s all it is, just the tour,” he said. “It’s just the OutKast 20th year anniversary, just a way for us to celebrate with our fans, but there’s no album in the works, no.”

Tickets for Roskilde festival are on sale now, priced at 1910 DKK (£210). To check the availability of Roskilde tickets and get all the latest listings, head to NME.COM/tickets.
