The US rockers join REM and Kings Of Leon on the bill
Rage Against The Machine have been announced as one of the headliners for Ireland’s Oxegen festival.
The band will join acts including R.E.M and Kings Of Leon at the event, held between 11 and 13 July at Punchestown Racecourse in Naas, Co. Kildare.
Other bands already confirmed for the festival include Kaiser Chiefs, Interpol, The Raconteurs, The Chemical Brothers, Hot Chip and Justice.
2008’s Oxegen sees the first time the festival will run for three days rather than two.
Last year’s festival saw performances from Muse, The Killers, Razorlight, Arcade Fire, Bloc Party and CSS.
