"Contractual difficulties" mean that MTV are focusing on Ozzy alone for this week...

MTV are to show an Ozzy Osbourne documentary in the weekend slot which should have been occupied ‘THE OSBOURNES’

As reported yesterday on NME.COM, the show has been pulled from the UK schedules just days before its premiere. MTV announced that the programme, a huge ratings hit in the US following the lives of Ozzy Osbourne and his family, has been put back because of “contractual difficulties”. It was due to air on Sunday evening (May 19).

A spokesperson for the network has told NME.COM that instead, a programme called ‘Ozzy Rules’ will be aired, featuring a new interview and clips from the show.

The full statement regarding the cancellation reads: “Due to contractual issues yet to be resolved, ‘The Osbournes’ will not be launching on MTV this weekend. MTV can confirm that ‘The Osbournes’ will still receive it’s UK television premiere shortly, and will be announcing a new, confirmed date soon. MTV would like to apologise for any inconvenience to our viewers, and to reassure you that ‘The Osbournes’ is well worth the wait!”

A new transmission date is likely to be announced in the next week.
