The multi-platform event will run for five nights in May 2015
Ozzy Osbourne has announced plans for Ozzfiesta, a five-day festival in Mexico that will take place from May 27-31, 2015.
The Black Sabbath frontman and wife Sharon Osbourne will co-ordinate the event at the Hard Rock hotel, which is described as “an all-inclusive getaway with live music, meet and greets and more”.
In a statement which can be read on the event’s website, Ozzfiesta has already confirmed a headline set from Ozzy and a dinner party hosted by Sharon Osbourne. The first 500 rooms sold will also include a meet and greet with the singer.
Other features of the event include a movie night, golf tournament, comedy club and a Q&A session. Live acts confirmed for the event so far include Black Label Society and Zakk Wylde.
Ozzy Osbourne has previously held a series of annual Ozzfest events in America; however, this is the first time the singer has taken the festival to Mexico.
Tickets are priced at £1,189 for adults and £312 for children and go on sale at 3pm tomorrow (October 17).
Meanwhile, Osbourne recently revealed that Black Sabbath would record their final album in 2015.
After previous speculation that the metal group would not return to the studio, Osbourne confirmed that they would indeed be recording a follow up to 2013’s ’13’. “The whole Sabbath experience this time around was great,” said Osbourne. “We all made friends, we didn’t fuck around, we all knew that we had a job to do, and we did it. It was a lot of fun. So we’re going to do one more album, and a final tour. Once the dust settled after the last tour we started discussing the idea, because we were getting asked about it all the time.”
