Daughter Aimee recovering after surgery...

Ozzy Osbourne and SHARON OSBOURNE’s daughter AIMEE has had surgery after a breast cancer scare.

The couple’s eldest daughter, who did not appear in their MTV reality series, had been due to appear with her mother in a West End production of The Vagina Monologues with her mother this month.

But the pair pulled out in mysterious circumstances on Saturday (April 2) “due to unavoidable personal reasons”.

Now, according to the BBC, Sharon has released the following statement: “Aimee’s had a breast cancer scare. She found a lump on her breast which she’s had removed. The operation went very well on the whole but there have been a few minor complications and she will be having more treatment and lots of rest over the next few weeks.

“We’re sure she’ll make a complete recovery. Thanks so much for all of your support – you’ve all been fabulous.

“Health really is the most important thing in life. After the 12 months we’ve had, no-one realises that more than me. I promise to let you know the second that she gets the all clear.”

The Ozzy Osbourne family have been plagued by ill health in recent years. In 2002, Sharon was diagnosed with colon cancer but made a full recovery, and in December 2003, Ozzy Osbourne was seriously injured in a quad bike accident.

Their other children, Jack and Kelly, have both been admitted into rehab for substance abuse.

Aimee did not appear in the MTV series because she plans to launch a music career of her own and does not want to be accused of exploiting her parents’ fame.
