Ozzy Osbourne has been hospitalised with an infection and undergone surgery, following the cancellation of his show in California last night (October 6).
The 69-year-old rocker is currently on the North American leg of his ‘No More Tours 2’ run of farewell concerts. He is set to perform at UK arenas in February.
Last night, Osbourne was due to play at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California. However, the singer spent the night at LA’s Cedars-Sinai hospital, where he had an operation on his hand.
An Instagram post of Osbourne in his hospital bed confirms that he is “being treated for an infection, which required surgery on his hand this morning”.
“Osbourne will spend a couple of days at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles where he’ll remain under doctors’ care as they monitor the infection,” the post continues.
It adds that the tour is “expected to resume on Tues, October 9”, with a concert scheduled for Chula Vista.
Following the post, Osbourne gave fans an update as he shared another photo of himself in hospital. “Feeling better after surgery,” he captioned the snap. “Ice cream helps.”
Last night’s show has been rescheduled for Tuesday, October 16.
