The band’s full length is expected to drop in August, with drummer Ciara Doran stating: “You can’t not aim for a number one. I think it deserves it as well. We’ve only written half of it, but that half deserves it!”

Asked if the album will have much in common with their previous material, Heather Baron-Gracie replied: “You know, they’re pretty similar but the album is more of like a ‘Pale Waves world’. So will have those sort of sad songs, but you will also have those banging singles.

“With an album, you get that opportunity to spread out.” Pale Waves‘ early singles were produced by The 1975 frontman Matt Healy and his bandmate, drummer George Daniel.

Pale Waves were recently added to this year’s British Summer Time shows in Hyde Park – joining the supporting line up for shows by The Cure and Eric Clapton.
