First song to be taken from NME Awards Tour with Austin, Texas headliners' second album

Palma Violets have revealed new song ‘Danger In The Club’, the first material from their forthcoming second album.

The band return with their new album, also titled ‘Danger In The Club’, on May 4. Scroll down to hear the title track now.

‘Danger In The Club’ tracklist:

‘Sweet Violets’
‘Hollywood (I Got It)’
‘Girl, You Couldn’t Do Much Better On The Beach’
‘Danger in the Club’
‘Coming Over to My Place’
‘Secrets of America’
‘The Jacket Song’
‘Gout! Gang! Go!’
‘Walking Home’
‘Peter and the Gun’
‘No Money Honey’
‘English Tongue’

Speaking to NME earlier this year, the band revealed that most of the tracks on their as-yet-untitled forthcoming record are original demos taken from the band’s writing sessions at The Doghouse studios in Wales, where Babyshambles have previously worked.

Vocalist and guitarist Sam Fryer discussed the band’s “youthful sound” and their desire to release unedited, original music. “It’s best when everything’s fresh,” Fryer says. “We’re a ‘moment’ band. We’re still 21 or 22 and this record sounds youthful. As soon as we heard those 15 demos from The Doghouse, we knew we were making something great.”

The band recently played two gigs, including a chaotic how at The Lincoln Imp in Scunthorpe, ahead of their headline dates as part of the NME Awards Tour with Austin, Texas.

Palma Violets’ debut album ‘180’ – named after the number of the house in Lambeth, south London where the band have thrown impromptu gigs and parties – was released in February 2013. The band are headlining the NME Awards Tour 2015 with Austin, Texas, with Fat White Family, The Amazing Snakeheads and Slaves completing the bill on all dates.
