Scottish singer's third album enters the Official UK Albums Chart at Number One

Paolo Nutini has scored the fastest-selling album of 2014 so far with ‘Caustic Love’.

The Scottish singer’s third album has entered the Official UK Albums Chart at Number One, selling over 109,000 copies in its first week. The previous record of 73,000 copies sold was held by X Factor winner Sam Bailey’s ‘The Power Of Love’, reports the Official Charts Company.

Boyband The Vamps are this week’s second highest new entry with ‘Meet The Vamps’ entering at Number Two. Paloma Faith’s ‘A Perfect Contradiction’ is at Number Three, ‘Love In The Future’ by John Legend is at Number Four and Kaiser Chiefs‘ ‘Education, Education, Educations & War’ drops four places to finish the week at Number Five.

In the Official UK Singles Chart, Canadian singer/songwriter has entered in at Number One with her debut track ‘Hideaway’. The former Royal Canadian code breaker knocked Sigma’s ‘Nobody To Love’ (2) off the top spot to earn herself her first UK Number One.

Shift K3y is at Number Three with ‘Touch’, John Legend stands firm at Number Four with ‘All Of Me’ and Aloe Blacc completes this week’s Official UK Singles Chart Top 5 with his track ‘The Man’, after dropping two places from Number Three.
