Emo-pop stars fly to US to solve band problems
Paramore have cancelled the remaining dates of their European tour, due to ‘internal issues’.
The group were due to play in Portsmouth, Nottingham and Glasgow next week, but have flown back to the US to sort out their problems.
In a posting on Paramore’s official site, singer Hayley Williams apologised for the cancellations, saying: “There are a lot of internal issues that have been going on in this band for quite a while now. Unfortunately we weren’t able to keep it together long enough to make it through ’til the end of this tour.
“We really feel that taking this time is going to give us a chance to get away and work out our personal issues at home and on our own terms. We just aren’t willing to risk the life of our band over one tour.”
The cancelled dates are as follows:
Hamburg Grunspan (Feb 23)
Berlin Lido (24)
Portsmouth Guildhall (26)
Nottingham Rock City (27)
Glasgow Academy (28)
