Paramore’s Hayley Williams beats Eminem and Mark Ronson to UK Number One

Singer's collaboration with B.o.B climbs to the singles summit

Paramore‘s Hayley Williams scored her first ever UK Number One single tonight (July 18) when her collaboration with B.o.B climbed from Number Three to claim the top spot.

‘Airplanes’ has been steadily rising up the chart since entering at Number 23 seven weeks ago, according to the Official Charts Company.

Earlier this week, the track appeared to be in a three-way battle with Eminem‘s ‘Love The Way You Lie’ and Mark Ronson and The Business Intl‘s ‘Bang Bang Bang’ for the top spot.

However, Eminem‘s collaboration with Rihanna went to Number Three while Ronson‘s new track debuted at Number Six.

‘Just Be Good To Green’, Professor Green‘s collaboration with Lily Allen, entered the chart at Number Five.

In the albums chart, Eminem‘s ‘Recovery’ returned to the top spot after being ousted by Kylie Minogue‘s ‘Aphrodite’ last week (July 11).

Eliza Dolittle’s self-titled debut album entered the chart at Number Three, while Bombay Bicycle Club‘s second album ‘Flaws’ went in at Number Eight in its first week.
