Paramore at Leeds Festival: ‘We’re honoured to play between Weezer and Blink-182’

Hayley Williams and co perform on the Main Stage

Paramore warmed up the Main Stage crowd for Blink-182 at Leeds Festival tonight (August 28).

Hayley Williams praised the headliners and Weezer, who they joined on the bill.

The flame-haired singer told the crowd, “It’s such an honour to play between Weezer and Blink-182.”

The band arrived onstage 10 minutes late to fans’ cheers and Williams announced, “Good evening Leeds, we are Paramore.”

The band opened with ‘Ignorance’ and ‘Feeling Sorry’. Halfway through the hit ‘That’s What You Get’, Williams shouted, “Is that all you’ve got, Leeds? Well, let me hear it!”

Later on in the set, just before ‘Brick By Boring Brick’, Williams singled out one fan in the crowd.

“I’m going to ask you one more time and I want an honest answer, Leeds, have you had a good time?” she asked the audience. When the crowd cheered Williams replied, “Thank you everyone, especially you in the polo, very handsome.”

Paramore played:

‘Feeling Sorry’
‘That’s What You Get’
‘For A Pessimist, I’m Pretty Optimistic’
‘Playing God’
‘The Only Exception’
‘Brick By Boring Brick’
‘Misery Business’
