Paul Heaton announces new album title, release date and UK tour details

'Acid Country' is due out on September 13

Paul Heaton has revealed details of a new album and upcoming UK tour.

The former Housemartins and Beautiful South frontman’s third solo LP, ‘Acid Country’, is released on September 13.

Recorded in Colne, Lancashire and produced by Heaton himself and Christian Madden (The Earlies), the album is the follow-up to 2008’s ‘The Cross Eyed Rambler’.


Meanwhile, the singer-songwriter has also announced details of a forthcoming UK tour.

Kicking off at Liverpool‘s O2 Academy on September 20, the nine-date gig-run will climax with a show at The Leadmill in Sheffield on September 30.

Prior to the jaunt, Heaton will also appear at Glastonbury, Latitude and V Festival this summer.
