Paul McCartney to receive star on Hollywood Walk of Fame today

The former Beatle will also be streaming a live performance of 'Kisses On The Bottom' songs tonight

Paul McCartney is set to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this afternoon (PST).

The ceremony will take place outside the iconic Capitol Records building in Los Angeles, where he recorded his new album, ‘Kisses On The Bottom’. He will then play an exclusive set with Diana Krall and her band inside the building. The show will be streamed live on iTunes at 7pm (PST) tonight (February 9).

Listen to Paul McCartney’s new single ‘My Valentine’ below. ‘My Valentine’ is one of only two new songs on ‘Kisses On The Bottom’, which is largely made up of cover versions. The song was written by McCartney for his wife Nancy Shevell and the song soundtracked the first dance at their wedding last year.

Lana Del Rey is set to hold off competition from Paul McCartney to remain Number One in the Official UK Album Chart this Sunday (February 12). The singer’s debut album ‘Born To Die’ is currently holding firm at Number One, with Maverick Sabre’s debut offering ‘Lonely Are The Brave’ set to enter at Number Two and Paul McCartney set to be new at Number Three with ‘Kisses On The Bottom’, reports the Official Charts Company.
