Tyga denies refusing Paul McCartney entry to his Grammys party: ‘I don’t control the door’

Rapper has called McCartney "a legend" in a series of Twitter posts addressing the incident

Rapper Tyga has set the record straight following reports he turned away Paul McCartney from his Grammys after-party.

According to reports, The Beatles legend was caught on camera alongside Beck and Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins last night (February 15) as they attempted to get into the party.

The TMZ footage was filmed outside Argyle in Hollywood and shows McCartney being told they were not allowed inside on two occasions.

Despite mentioning Mark Ronson’s name repeatedly, the group are refused entry. McCartney is shown asking “How VIP do we gotta get? We need another hit.” He then turns to Beck and mock-scolds him and asks him to write another song.

Tyga has since taken to Twitter to reveal what really happened, with the rapper insisting he had nothing to do with McCartney’s refusal to his event.

He wrote alongside the praying hands emoji: “Why would I deny @PaulMcCartney stop it. He’s a legend. I don’t control the door. I had no knowledge SIR PAUL was there. I just performed and left.”

McCartney is yet to respond to Tyga on Twitter, with TMZ adding that despite not getting in to the rapper’s celebrations, the group headed to a Republic Records party at another venue instead.
