‘RAIN’ MAN!

The ex-Beatle also hints low key live shoes are in the pipeline...

PAUL McCARTNEY has named his forthcoming solo album ‘DRIVING RAIN’.

The record, the follow-up to ‘Flaming Pie’, has been given a release date of November 12, and is likely to be preceded by a new single, ‘From A Lover To A Friend’, on October 29.

Speaking previously, McCartney hinted he would like to perform low-key live shows in the run-up to the release of the record.

He said: “That would be good. I do fancy that actually…I think it is very likely that I might tour around then. I like to go out on the road with a new album and I’m very excited by this one.

“I’ve been recording it in the States (LA), and we recorded 18 tracks in just two weeks. Recording new songs makes you enthuse and want to get out and play them.”
