The star finishes his world tour with a spectacular event in Liverpool....

is to play a 40,000-seater homecoming concert in his native LIVERPOOL.

The ex- Beatle

began his Back In The World tour in Paris on Tuesday night (March 25) and will finish at his birth city on June 1.

The open-air concert will take place at the Kings Dock in Liverpool city centre.

Announcing the concert, [a][/a]

said: “I can’t do a world tour without bringing it home.”

The show will be the star’s first gig in the city since 1999, when he played a one-off show at the famous Cavern Club, the venue where The Beatles rose to prominence.

Tickets are expected to go on sale in the near future.
