Paul McCartney geared up for his imminent UK tour by performing a three-hour set in PARIS last night (March 25).
The former Beatle began his first European tour for a decade, playing the Fab Four’s classics ‘We Can Work It Out’, ‘Fool On The Hill’ and ‘Here, There And Everywhere’ to the Palais Omnisports audience.
Ananova reports Sir Paul played ‘Getting Better’ for the first time on French soil and told the 15,000 strong crowd: “This song was from the Sixties – the decade that gets applause.” He also played ‘Birthday’ from ‘The White Album’, a song not performed on the US leg of the tour.
Sir Paul, kicks off the sold-out UK leg of his tour at Sheffield Arena on April 5. The jaunt includes dates at London Earl’s Court on April 18,19, 21 and 22..
McCartney was the biggest grossing touring artist of last year, making $103.3 million through his US tour.
