The star says demand for 'Freedom' is huge...

PAUL McCARTNEY is reportedly planning to rush-release ‘FREEDOM’, the song inspired by September 11, as a charity single.

According to a report in this morning’s The Sun newspaper, the track, premiered at the recent Macca organised benefit for victims of US terrorist atrocities, will be released on Monday in the UK (November 5) and on November 13 in the US.

As a result, his current single, ‘From A Lover To A Friend’ will be scrapped in the UK.

Speaking about the single, McCartney said: “We hadn’t reckoned on this demand but as that’s what people want we’re getting it out fast. This is a song not just for America but for everyone who values the fact that we have a right to a free life and we have to fight for that right.”
