Paul McCartney is due to head out on tour of the US and Europe for the first time in a decade.

The former Beatle will play 14 dates across the US, from California to New York, on his ‘Drivin’ USA’ tour, starting at the beginning of April. He will also play one show in Canada.

A statement from Paul McCartney‘s camp this morning (February 4) also confirmed the star would head for Europe in May.

“I’m very excited to be getting back on the road, playing with a new band and including in the show some songs that I haven’t played live before,” Paul McCartney said.

A spokesperson for Paul McCartney told NME.COM the tour would include a series of dates in Britain and in another five European countries. Paul McCartney has played 252 concerts with theBeatles, 142 with his group Wings and 195 as a solo artist.
