Watch Paul McCartney join members of Muse to cover The Beatles’ ‘Helter Skelter’

The Beatles legend joined Matt Bellamy and Dom Howard on stage during a gig by the supergroup Dr. Pepper's Jaded Hearts Club Band

Sir Paul McCartney joined members of Muse – including frontman Matt Bellamy and drummer Dom Howard – on stage last night (January 16) for a cover of The Beatles’ ‘Helter Skelter’ – watch footage of the performance below.

The supergroup came together for an intimate gig last night, with Bellamy reforming the supergroup – who go by the name Dr. Pepper’s Jaded Hearts Club Band – for a special performance. The band previously played together back in September, with Miles Kane taking on lead vocal duties.

Last night’s gig saw the group invite McCartney up on stage to perform ‘Helter Skelter’, which featured on The Beatles’ classic 1968 LP ‘The White Album’. Footage uploaded to Matt Bellamy’s Instagram shows a snippet of the group in action, with Bellamy on bass, Howard on drums and McCartney sharing lead vocal duties. The caption simply reads: “Just did Macca with Macca #walkinglegend”.

Muse are still thought to be working on new music in the studio, with the three-piece working once again with producer Rich Costey for the follow-up to 2015’s ‘Drones’.

Costey worked extensively with Muse on their third and fourth albums ‘Absolution’ and ‘Black Holes And Revelations’.
