New versions of 'Wild Life' and 'Red Rose Speedway' will feature bonus tracks and more

Paul McCartney has announced the super deluxe reissues of the Paul McCartney and Wings albums ‘Wild Life’ and ‘Red Rose Speedway.’

The reissues are part of McCartney’s critically acclaimed and multiple Grammy Award-winning Archive Collection, which has also seen the re-release of Wings’ ‘Venus And Mars’ and ‘At The Speed Of Sound.’

‘Wild Life’ will be released as a four-disc (3CD, 1DVD) limited deluxe edition and will feature the full album remastered at Abbey Road as well as 25 bonus audio tracks – including previously unreleased material. The package also includes a 128-page book detailing the story of the album, with track-by-track
information and new interviews with McCartney.

There’s also a 48-page scrapbook of tour
diaries, lyrics and set lists, unpublished Polaroids, lyrics, notes and memorabilia from the MPL
 archives.

‘Red Rose Speedway’ will be released as a six-disc (3CD, 2DVD + 1Blu-ray) numbered limited deluxe edition. As well as a fully remastered album, the release will also feature a reconstruction of the originally conceived double album version of Red Rose Speedway, singles, B-sides, alternate mixes and previously unreleased tracks.

The DVD and Blu-ray additions will showcase rare and previously unseen footage, that includes live performances, music videos and interviews. There’s also a folio including 14 replica hand drawn original character sketches by McCartney and facsimile dialogue sheets for the film as well as previously unpublished images by Linda McCartney.

As well as a book about the album, the edition comes with five replica handwritten lyric sheets and a 64-page ‘Wings In
Morocco’ photo book expanded album. Both are released on December 7. You can pre-order them through McCartney’s website.

In celebration of the newly announced reissues, McCartney has shared a never before heard version of his iconic track, ‘Live And Let Die’, newly tiled ‘Live And Let Die [Group Only, Take 10]’. You can listen to that below.
