Paul McCartney will play a huge stadium gig in Liverpool on June 1, 2008.
The former Beatle will headline Liverpool FC’s Anfield stadium next summer.
Around 35,000 tickets will be available for the show, which will be broadcast on TV worldwide.

The show is part of the city of Liverpool’s year-long celebration for being nominated European Capital Of Culture 2008.
As part of the celebrations, former Beatle Ringo Starr will appear in Liverpool The Musical, which will take place on January 12 2008. His co-stars will include The Eurythmics’ Dave Stewart, Echo And The Bunnymen, Shack and former Lightning Seeds man Ian Broudie.
