Paul Weller to play free secret gig at The Great Escape in Brighton next week

Amazon-hosted gig will be filmed and made available to Amazon Prime members

Paul Weller is set to play a secret gig at The Great Escape festival in Brighton on next week.

The gig will take place in a secret location on May 16 and Great Escape wristband holders can apply for a ticket through the festival’s website, but with only a few hundred free tickets being released for the intimate gig, tickets will be allocated on a first-come-first-serve basis.

The performance will be filmed and made available exclusively to Amazon Prime members through Prime Instant Video. Weller will play a set of tracks from his forthcoming album, ‘Saturns Pattern’, which is to be released in the UK on May 18.

The Modfather commented: “I like the fact that The Great Escape showcases new and fresh music across all venues in Brighton as a festival. It’s always good to perform in smaller venues and I’m looking forward to playing some new tracks.”

The Great Escape is an annual convention and festival that sees over 400 artists play between May 14-16, 2015 at 35 venues around Brighton.
