It's the first track to be lifted from The Modfather's forthcoming album...

Paul Weller will release the first single from his impending covers album in June.

Paul Weller ’s version of jazz legend Gil Scott Heron’s song ‘The Bottle’ will be released on June 14.

The EP will also feature two exclusive covers which will not appear on the album, Taj Mahal’s ‘Corrina Corrina’ and The Lovin’ Spoonful’s ‘Coconut Grove’.

The currently untitled album will be released on September 13.

As previously reported on NME.COM, Paul Weller will play a series of gigs in support of the Forestry Commission in June. The Modfather will also complete a three-day stint at the Royal Albert Hall.
