Your chance to hear 'Illumination' in a unique way...
Paul Weller fans are getting the chance to hear his new album ahead of release – in the back of a cab!
‘Illumination’ hits the shops on September 16, but Wellerites living in either London or Glasgow have a chance to be involved in a unique album preview event beforehand.
Between September 9 and 13 there will be six taxis parked up in a row where five people at a time can hop in and listen to some songs from the album. There will be no charge because the taxis aren’t going anywhere.
This takes place in London on Waterloo Bridge between 6.30 and 8.30pm, and in Glasgow at George’s Square from 6-8pm, on a first come first served basis. The taxis will be covered with the album artwork.
Inside the taxis there will be a reply card for fans to say which are your favourite songs from the selection you heard. If they fill it in and send it back to the address supplied, they’ll be entered into a draw with the chance of winning exclusive framed album artwork or VIP tickets to see the star on tour in October.
The full itinerary of the tour is:
Brighton Centre (October 12)
Milton Keynes Sanctuary (13)
Glasgow Braehead Arena (16)
Newcastle Telewest Arena (18)
Birmingham NEC (19)
Cardiff International Arena (21)
Hull Arena (26)
Nottingham Arena (27)
Bournemouth International Centre (29)
London Wembley Arena (30)
