The gigs will accompany the upcoming release of his new solo album, 'True Meanings'
Paul Weller has announced an exclusive pair of live orchestral gigs in London in October – see details of the shows below.
Weller will release his next solo album ‘True Meanings’ on September 14, with the upcoming record – which’ll be his fourteenth solo LP – promising to feature a “dreamy, peaceful, pastoral set of songs to get lost in”.
The musician’s new direction will be performed live with two exclusive shows at the Royal Festival Hall in London’s Southbank Centre, which are set to take place on October 11 and 12. He’ll perform with both his regular live band and an orchestra, bringing to life songs from ‘True Meanings’ and more.
Tickets for the shows – which will be Weller’s only UK gigs for ‘True Meanings’ in 2018 – go on sale this Friday (July 20) at 10am. A limited number of seats will also be available for Southbank Centre members on Thursday from 10am – you’ll be able to find tickets when they go on sale here.
“Performing two nights in a venue as iconic as the Royal Festival Hall is a significant moment for me,” Weller said about the pair of newly-announced gigs. “It’s going to be a special two shows performing tracks from the new album and adding some older tracks into the set, all backed with a brilliant orchestra.”
