Peace say songwriting for new album is more ‘refined’

Frontman Harry Koisser says his lyrics are 'a lot more thought through' this time around

Peace have said that the songwriting process for their new album is more “refined”.

The band are currently working on their second LP, the follow up to 2013’s ‘In Love’, at London’s Dean Street Studios.

Speaking to NME in this week’s magazine, which is available digitally or on newsstands now, frontman Harry Koisser says his lyrics are “a lot more thought through” this time around. “I don’t know if it’s a thing with age or becoming obsessed with writing songs, but I used to write something and be like, ‘Well, that’s come out of my brain so that’s great, that’ll do’. Now it’s like, ‘Wait – no. Let’s refine it’.”
