Pearl Jam have unveiled the cover art for their forthcoming album ‘Binaural’ and details of the full tracklisting for the record have also emerged. Click here for the official website to see the cover.
The image on the album cover, called ‘The Hourglass Planetary Nebula’ was taken by the Hubble Space Telescope and shows a nebula some 8,000 light-years from earth.
‘Binaural’ is set for a May 23 release through Epic. A single, ‘Nothing As It Seems’, will precede it on April 11.
In a newsletter mailed to the Pearl Jam fan-club recently, guitarist Mike McCready described the single as “our best song ever. It is so dark and moving; it gives me chills when I hear it”.
Meanwhile, the long established Pearl Jam fan website www.fivehorizons.com has reported that the album will be 16 tracks in length.

‘Breakherfall’, ‘Insignificance’, ‘Evacuation’, ‘Letter To The Dead’, ‘Rival’, ‘Grievance’, ‘Light Years’, ‘Of The Girl’, ‘Thin Air’, ‘Nothing As It Seems’, ‘Fatal’, ‘Sleight Of Hand’, ‘Soon Forget’, ‘In The Moonlight’, ‘Parting Ways’, and ‘Education’.
Pearl Jam will play a 28 date European tour supporting the release of the album. Their six UK and Irish dates are as follows:
London Wembley Arena (May 29, 30), Dublin Point Depot (June 1), Glasgow SECC (June 3), Manchester Evening News Arena (4), Cardiff Arena (6).
