'Pearl Jam 20' will screen in 75 UK cinemas on September 20
NME.COM has obtained exclusive footage from Pearl Jam Twenty, Cameron Crowe‘s forthcoming film about seminal alt.rockers Pearl Jam – click above to watch it.

The retrospective documentary, which features live footage and recent interviews with the band, is due to be screened in 75 UK cinemas on September 20.

The soundtrack, which will be released the day before (19), has been compiled by Crowe, who has known the band since his days as a reporter for Rolling Stone in Seattle.


A book, also titled Pearl Jam Twenty, will precede their release on September 12. Compiled and written by Jonathan Cohen with Mark Wilkerson, the book includes a foreword by Cameron Crowe as well as interviews with Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young and Dave Grohl.

Earlier this month, Pearl Jam put on their own two-day music festivalin Wisconsin to celebrate their 20th anniversary.

Frontman Eddie Vedder joined The Strokes onstage during the New York band’s slot at the Alpine Valley Music Theater event, which also saw the likes of Queens Of The Stone Age mainman Josh Homme and Soundgarden‘s Chris Cornell put in appearances.

Pearl Jam, who are currently on tour in Canada, have recently been working on their 10th studio album.
