Pearl Jam and Mudhoney members reform old band

Green River will get back together next summer

Seattle band Green River are set to reform next summer for a special show to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Seattle label Sub Pop.

The band consisted of Jeff Ament and Stone Gossard of Pearl Jam, Mark Arm and Steve Turner of Mudhoney as well as drummer Alex Vincent.

Turner was later replaced by Bruce Fairweather, who went on to play in Mother Love Bone.

News of the reunion was broken to Billboard.com by Stone Gossard.

Meanwhile, as previously reported on NME.COM, Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder’s solo record is set for release on October 29. The album is the soundtrack to the Sean Penn-directed movie ‘Into The Wild’.
