This is awesome.
Pearl Jam paid subtle tribute to Chris Cornell last night during a show in Amsterdam, with each band member wearing a band t-shirt from various musical projects involving the late singer.
As they performed at the Ziggo Dome, drummer Matt Cameron was seen wearing a t-shirt that featured Cornell’s face in the template of the Starbucks logo.
Lead singer Eddie Vedder wore a ‘Nude Dragons’ t-shirt, reflecting the alias used by Soundgarden for their first 2010 comeback show.
Guitarist Mike McCready, meanwhile, was seen wearing a Ultramega OK shirt, honoring Soundgarden’s classic debut album.
The subtle tribute comes only a few weeks after the first anniversary of Cornell’s tragic death in May.
Close friend Vedder has paid constant tribute to Cornell since his passing, with one of the most recent coming during Pearl Jam’s live return earlier this year.
At their headline performance in Chile in March , Pearl Jam dedicated a sombre performance of ‘Come Back’ to the late icon.
“This is for Chris,” announced Pearl Jam singer Eddie Vedder ahead of the rendition.
