Pendulum‘s Rob Swire has ripped into Bastille on Twitter.
The lead singer of the Australian dance rockers, who announced their split earlier this year, took to the social media website to slag off Bastille‘s cover of 90’s dance anthem ‘Rhythm Of The Night’, saying the group “are not good enough” to record a version of the track.
Bastille, you are not good enough to cover “Rhythm of the Night”. Please stick to 90’s songs within your talent range, like Mambo No. 5

Bastille, who released debut album ‘Bad Blood’ earlier this year, are currently Number Two in the Official Singles Chart with new track ‘Of The Night’, a cover of Corona’s ‘Rhythm Of The Night’ which was included as part of the deluxe edition of their album, released last month (November).
Speaking about the track’s success, frontman Dan Smith said: “For a track that we made for a bit of fun as part of one of our mixtapes over a year ago to be competing with such big names is completely mental. We’re massively grateful to everyone who’s supported and bought the track and EP.”
Earlier this year, Smith revealed that Bastille’s second album will be much heavier and more eclectic than ‘Bad Blood’.
