NME.COM shows you how to get a sneak preview of three songs from the duo's musical 'Closer To Heaven'...

Three tracks from the PET SHOP BOYS’ forthcoming musical ‘CLOSER TO HEAVEN’ have been posted on the Internet, way ahead of the show’s debut on London’s West End.

According to the band’s official site, “Plans are underway for an early summer launch in the West End of London but circumstances may force the date to change to Autumn 2001.” Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Really Useful Group are now involved in the production.

But Neil Tennant confirmed for NME.COM today (January 10) that the three tracks previewed on a handful of fan sites, including [url=], are from the musical. ‘Little Black Dress’ and ‘Call Me Old Fashioned’ are upbeat anthems in the usual Pet Shop Boys tradition, while ‘For All Of Us’ is a heart-wrenching ballad including the line: “I’m not crying just for you, I’m crying for me … I’m crying for all of us”.

Meanwhile, for anyone who missed the duo’s appearance on the last ever ‘TFI Friday’, the Pet Shop Boys will be streaming it in full on their website in the next few days.
