'Closer To Heaven' opens in London's West End...

The PET SHOP BOYS’ musical ‘CLOSER TO HEAVEN’ will open on May 15 in LONDON – and NME.COM can reveal that tickets are already on sale.

The long-awaited production, a collaboration between Neil Tennant, Chris Lowe and playwright Jonathan Harvey, will be running at the Arts Theatre in London’s West End, and will star Anthony Cotton – most notably seen as Alexander in the groundbreaking Channel 4 series ‘Queer As Folk’.

Tickets are priced between £18.50 and £28.50 (Monday to Thursday) and £20 to £30 (Friday and Saturday), subject to booking fee. The Arts Theatre’s box office tells NME.COM that tickets do not go on sale to the general public until next week, but that Pet Shop Boys fans quoting the title of the band’s fan club magazine can order now.

‘Closer To Heaven’ precedes the re-release of a number of the Pet Shop Boys’ classic albums during the summer, which will include bonus CDs featuring rare and unreleased material.
