Pete Doherty would be ‘welcome back at Millwall’

Club say Babyshambles man is fine to return, despite 'urinating in a trophy' allegations

Millwall FC have said that they would welcome Pete Doherty back at the ground in the future, despite tabloid reports that the Babyshambles singer had urinated in a trophy during the Soccer Six tournament he took part in last Sunday (May 18) at the New Den ground.

A post on the Millwall FC website states that, “Contrary to a newspaper report, Pete Doherty would be more than welcome back at The Den following his first ever visit to the ground on Sunday.”

As previously reported on NME.COM, it was alleged that Pete Doherty urinated in a trophy while backstage in the ground, before his team eventually lost to Faithless in the final.

A spokesperson for Doherty said: “Pete really enjoyed the event and his day at the club and passes on his thanks to all the staff at Millwall.”

The event was organised to raise awareness for The Samaritans charity.
