Pete Doherty gave a short series of secret street gigs in Slovakia and the Czech Republic last week.

The musician performed two low-key sets in Bratislava, Slovakia on June 24 and 25 followed by a third in Czech capital Prague on June 26. Scroll down to watch Doherty singing ‘The Last Of The English Roses’ at the June 25 gig backed by violin player Miki Beavis.

Doherty’s sets were part of the local Huda Mesta series of pop-up shows, which invites musicians to play in untraditional places.

Meanwhile, Doherty has recently revealed that he is planning to sell rock’n’roll memorabilia from a stall in Camden, including cigarette butts smoked by Amy Winehouse, Bobby Gillespie and Kate Moss.

Last month (June), his band Babyshambles announced details of a headline UK tour. Doherty will hit the road with his bandmates in September for an extensive run which involves gigs all the way into October. Starting in Glasgow on September 4, the tour will visit Newcastle, Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool, Lincoln, Bristol, Oxford, Cardiff and Norwich throughout September as well as a date at London’s Brixton Academy. Further shows in October will take place in Sheffield, Hatfield, Leamington Spa, Birmingham, Leicester and Cambridge.
