Pharrell Williams unveils Edgar Wright-directed ‘Gust Of Wind’ video – watch

The track is a collaboration with Daft Punk

Pharrell Williams has unveiled the video for his new single ‘Gust Of Wind’, a collaboration with Daft Punk.

‘Gust Of Wind’ appears on Pharrell’s 2014 album ‘Girl’. The video, which you can watch above, sees the US musician wandering through woods and discovering Daft Punk’s iconic robot helmets in a clearing. It was directed by British filmmaker and director Edgar Wright (Shaun Of The Dead, Spaced).

Meanwhile, it was recently confirmed that Pharrell’s ‘Happy’ is the biggest selling single in the UK so far in 2014, according to Official Charts Company data.

The song, originally released in summer 2013 as part of the soundtrack, has sold 1.42 million copies in the UK already this year. In September, the song was revealed as the most downloaded track of all time by UK music fans.

The success of ‘Happy’ follows Pharrell’s similarly huge singles ‘Blurred Lines’ with Robin Thicke, and Daft Punk collaboration ‘Get Lucky’. All three singles sold over one million copies in the UK in less than a year, a sales feat only previously matched by The Beatles.
