Legendary producer PHIL SPECTOR has been indicted on a murder charge in LOS ANGELES and will stand trial in December.
Spector is alleged to have killed actress Lana Clarkson, but maintains that she killed herself, according to the BBC.
However, the police claim Spector cleaned the gun after the shot was fired and say they found traces of blood and gunshot residue on his body.
Spector is free on $1million bail following yesterday’s (September 27) hearing. Outside the courthouse he blasted the prosecution, calling them “reprehensible” and “despicable”. He remains free on $1 million bail, but if convicted faces life imprisonment
Spector invented the Wall Of Sound approach to recording in the Sixties and worked with a host of stars including Ike and Tina Turner and The Ronettes.
