Madonna, Katy Perry and Bruce Springsteen have all campaigned against the Republican nominee
Former Pink Floyd frontman Roger Waters has slammed Donald Trump at a gig in Mexico.
The singer took aim at the Presidential hopeful during ‘Pigs’ and ‘Another Brick In The Wall, Part II’ as part of his set at Mexico City’s Foro Sol stadium earlier this week.
During ‘Pigs’ a giant screen behind the stage showed a picture of Trump holding a submachine gun and Spanish translations of controversial comments he has made about race, women and incumbent US President Barack Obama.
After the images flashed up, a final message appeared on screen, calling the U.S. Republican Party candidate an “arsehole” in Spanish. You can watch footage below.
Waters also took aim at Trump’s proposal to build a wall on the Mexican-U.S. border with ‘Another Brick In The Wall, Part II’.
During the song Waters was joined on stage by children in T-shirts emblazoned with the slogan “tear down the wall”. The rocker told the crowd, “We don’t want a wall that separates us from our sister, our mother earth, or from each other.”
Trump’s outspoken campaign to win November’s US Presidential election has seen a number of major music stars urge Americans to vote for his Democratic Party opponent Hillary Clinton, including Bruce Springsteen, Madonna and Katy Perry. Both Madonna and Perry even went naked in a comedy sketch to make a point to voters earlier this week.
Meanwhile, Benedict Cumberbatch joined David Gilmour on stage in London earlier this week to sing ‘Comfortably Numb’.
