Pixies fans have snapped up tickets for their two shows at LONDON BRIXTON ACADEMY on their comeback tour.
As previously reported, the band are to reunite for a full tour this year, which includes their first dates in the UK capital since 1991’s Crystal Palace Bowl show. They play Brixton Academy on June 2 and 3.
Within minutes of tickets going on sale from 9am this morning (February 7) internet ticket shops had completely sold out both dates. It’s unknown if any more shows will be added.
Pixies are expected to play some warm-up shows in North America before they appear at the Coachella Festival in California on May 1. They will visit Europe between May 28 and July 10. The stint includes a support slot on Red Hot Chili Peppers‘ summer European tour, as well as a slot on the Main Stage at T In The Park on the first day of the event (July 10). They join Muse, The Darkness and Pixies.
T In The Park 2004 takes place at Balado, Kinross near Glasgow, over the weekend of July 10-11 2004.
