A T-MENDOUS COMEBACK!

The indie legends announce ther first date in Britain for 13 years...

Pixies have confirmed their first UK show on their comeback tour, NME.COM can reveal.

As previously revealed, the band have officially confirmed they are to reunite for a full tour this year.

Now, NME.COM can reveal the group will play on the Main Stage at the Scottish festival on the first day of the event (July 10). They join Muse, David Bowie and The Darkness.

T In The Park 2004 takes place at Balado, Kinross near Glasgow, over the weekend of July 10-11 2004.

Pixies are expected to play some warm-up shows in North America before they appear at the Coachella bash in California on May 1. They will go on to visit Europe between May 28 and July 10, with a host of other festival appearances planned. The band are also thought to have a number of indoor shows pencilled in, including two nights at London Brixton Academy, as well as a support slot on Red Hot Chili Peppers‘ summer European tour.

What is definite is that the band’s former label 4AD are to release a 23-track ‘best of’ album called ‘Wave Of Mutilation’ and DVD called ‘Pixies’ sometime this year. The DVD will feature eight Pixies videos, a 1988 concert taped at London’s Town And Country Club and the documentary ‘Gouge’, which features interviews with Radiohead‘s Thom Yorke, David Bowie and Bono.
