Pixies storm the Palace!

Pixies wowed fans with a fan-friendly set in LONDON last night (August 31).

The US indie giants, fresh from their headline slots at the Carling Weekend: Reading And Leeds Festivals played the first of two sold-out shows at Alexandra Palace. And fans got a treat – as well as all the usual big hitters like ’Debaser’ and ’Monkey Gone To Heaven’, many lesser known album tracks made it onto the setlist. These included ’Stormy Weather’ and ’Is She Weird?’ from 1990’s ’Bossanova’ and ’Subbacultcha’ from 1991’s ’Trompe Le Monde’.

The band also sprung a surprise when they tore into ’Isla De Encanta’ and went straight into ’Something Against You’ before returning to ’Isla…’ to huge cheers.
