PJ HARVEY has revealed she plans to support U2 on their forthcoming world tour.
Speaking to Radio 1 this afternoon (November 14), Harvey said: “We’re going to do some shows with U2. I’ve still got to work out my own planning. I’ve played with them before and enjoyed it.”
Harvey previously supported U2 on their Zooropa world tour in 1993. This time around, strong>U2 plan to embark on a tour of small arenas, starting early next year.
Talking about the proposed shows, drummer Larry Mullen said the dates would be a way to “take it easy and see how the land lies”, while Bono has said the indoor shows will be a way to “have some fun”, in comparison to their stadium gigs of recent years.
PJ Harvey has also announced details of her first live show in London in over two years. She will play the Shepherd’s Bush Empire on February 11. Tickets are on sale now, priced £15.
