Placebo reveal ‘Too Many Friends’ video featuring author Bret Easton Ellis – watch

The song comes from the band's new 'Loud Like Love' album which is set for release next month

Placebo have premiered the video for their single ‘Too Many Friends’. Click above to watch.

The video features narration from American Psycho author Bret Easton Ellis and was shot in Los Angeles and directed by Saman Kesh. The song is the first track to be taken from Placebo’s brand new album, ‘Loud Like Love’. The band’s seventh studio album is set for release on September 16 and was produced by Adam Noble and recorded in London’s RAK Studios. It follows 2009’s ‘Battle For The Sun’.

The album will be released in five different formats, as a 3D lenticular super deluxe box set, a limited edition deluxe digi-pack version, a double 12″ coloured vinyl gatefold edition, a standard CD album and digitally.


Placebo are set to tour the LP later in the year, with their run of gigs reaching the UK in December. The first UK show will be at Birmingham O2 Academy on December 12 with further performances scheduled for Glasgow and Manchester, before the jaunt concludes in London with an O2 Academy Brixton gig on December 16.
