You can hear 'Slave To The Wage' now a month ahead of its release date...

PLACEBO have unveiled details of a UK tour for OCTOBER, and have made their new single ‘SLAVE TO THE WAGE’ available on the Internet over a month before it gets its official release.

According to the band’s official website, [url=]www.placebo.co.uk, Placebo, who are to make their first major UK live appearances of the year at the Carling Weekend Festivals in Reading and Leeds this coming weekend (August 25-28), are set to play: Liverpool Royal Court (14) Glasgow Barrowlands (15) Aberdeen Music Hall (16) Edinburgh Corn Exchange (17) Sheffield Octagon (19) Manchester Academy (20) Leeds University (22) Norwich UEA (23) Cambridge Corn Exchange (25) Brighton Event (26) Bristol Colston Hall (27) Wolverhampton Civic Hall (29) Nottingham Rock City (30) London Brixton Academy (31-November 1)

Support on all UK dates will come from Nottingham‘s Six By Seven.

In addition, Placebo have also posted their new single, ‘Slave To The Wage’ on the Internet. The song has been posted in full on the official Placebo website.

The single will get its full release on September 25 through Hut and will be backed by two new songs ‘Leni’ and ‘Bubblegum’, as well as a cover of the Big Star track ‘Holocaust’. Also included on the single will be a remix of ‘Slave To The Wage’ by Les Rythmes Digitales.

‘Black Market Music’, Placebo‘s third studio album, follows on October 9.
