Plan B and Tinchy Stryder pay tribute to Wales football manager Gary Speed who has died aged 42

Funeral For A Friend, Lethal Bizzle and Olly Murs also offer their condolences

Plan B, Tinchy Stryder and Funeral For A Friend have paid tribute to Wales football manager Gary Speed after he was found dead in his home this morning (November 27).

Cheshire Police confirmed the 42 year-old was found at 07:08 GMT at his house in Huntington, Chester.

The Football Association of Wales (FAW) told the BBC it appeared Speed, killed himself.

Following the shock news music stars took to Twitter including Plan B who wrote:

R.I.P. Gary Speed. Our thoughts with his family // Leeds Everton Newcastle Bolton Sheffield 85 caps for Wales.

Tinchy Stryder also expressed his shock over the death while Funeral For A Friend wrote: “RIP Gary Speed. A Welsh legend lost. Condolences to his family.”

Lethal Bizzle and Olly Murs also paid their respects along with Radio 1 presenters Huw Stephens, Chris Moyles and QPR captain Joey Barton.

Speed, who was born in Mancot, Flintshire, took over the Wales job in December 2010.

He began his playing career at Leeds United and was part of the side that won the last Football League title in 1992, before the introduction of the Premier League.

Speed went on to play for Everton, Newcastle United, Bolton Wanderers, Sheffield United and he won 85 caps for his country during a 14-year international career.
